It had rained all afternoon with a few very impressive thunderstorms that tend to rumble down here in late summer. I had written off any hopes of catching a sunset (my new quest), but as we were sitting at the supper table the sun broke through the clouds. MoonPie suggested we quickly head to the marina in hopes that I could catch it before all the light was gone. I grabbed the camera and didn't even take time to put my shoes on. Although the sunset was waning when we got there, the clouds were quite beautiful. It was worth leaving all the dishes on the table because this turned out to be one of my favorite photos.
